Patrick Higgins

Executive Chef

Patrick has been a chef for over twenty years with varied experience in the industry, learning to cook in Tampa, Florida before joining the Inns of Aurora team in 2008. Patrick is a food artist—carving sculptures of ice, fruit and vegetables—and brings with him a passion for learning, knowledge, and teaching.

In May of 2016, the revered James Beard House in New York City honored Patrick with an invitation to prepare dinner at the house with his team. A fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation, the sold-out dinner highlighted both Patrick’s culinary achievements and his commitment to showcasing the bounty of the Finger Lakes with a thoughtful approach.

Patrick believes that anyone can cook with the right teacher, and welcomes you to his kitchen to explore the culinary landscape together.

Grace Mattingly

Taste Curator

With twelve years of experience—starting right here in Aurora—Grace has developed her natural passion for hospitality. While in Atlanta, Georgia, Grace had the opportunity to work at two James Beard Award-winning restaurants, focusing on detailed service in both fine dining and casual operations.

After working at a food-driven, Bib Gourmand Michelin-rated restaurant in Galway, Ireland, Grace returned to the Inns of Aurora to share her passion for food and to teach others how to create a special meal at home.
